Art - Quick Fanart Roundup

Interpretation of the “Hand of Glory” talisman as used in Hellboy. I went for a pretty stylized look for fun. What’s more fun than a gross magical mummy hand candle? Not much.

Wall-E is was a prompt in a class I took for funsies. This time it was to combine two movies into one character and make the style match with another student (who was doing another character for this prompt). Wall-E as Rick's waiter (and convenient ashtray). I think this was done in an hr from concept to final?

Fanart - Jem & Pizzazz

I decided I had a NEED to draw big hair! Jem and Pizzazz of the beloved 80's cartoon "Jem and the Holograms" battle it out in pop song in this poptastic illustration.

Fan Art - Hans Gruber of Die Hard

Our traditional Xmas movie is Die Hard. This yr for a friend’s gift I drew Hans Gruber (played by the unstoppable Alan Rickman), the true star. Here’s the rough sketch. The quote is one from the movie.

Art - Dracula Untold

I did this for a Dracula Untold thing because I did totally see the movie for Luke Evans & Charles Dance, WHAT. Parameters said it couldn't look like Evans and had to be transformative, sooo MANBAT. Very quickly done in PS.

Fan Art - The Musketeers

This is one of my favorite shows so fanart was in order. Action packed, funny, with phenomenal actors, beautiful set and costume design, excellent writing that not only includes woman and POC but does it’s damnedest to treat them well and make them heroic, respected and capable in a period where it would be easy to treat them badly—Everyone who is not already watching it should do so immediately and love it as I do!

This piece was done in Photoshop with Kyle T Webster’s lovely brushes.

Art - Claire Underwood

I allowed myself to do some fanart for once and did a piece of the amazing character Claire Underwood from the show House of Cards. Robin Wright's acting is seriously, seriously phenomenal. Every pose, gesture, inflection of tone, and glance is perfection.

The flag is upside down a la the show logo and for once Claire gets to look us right in the eye like her 4th-wall-breaking husband. Done in PS with Kyle Webster's lovely brushes.

Art - Ventress & the Clones

Ventress, Clones and "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" ©Lucasfilm Ltd.

Ventress is not exactly my favorite character in Clone Wars (that would be Ahsoka), but I wanted to draw something with a lot of movement. Ventress is nothing if not agile. Clones are also fun and challenging to draw.

Art - Morning in Rohan

Inspired by The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers this painting depicts some of the main characters in Rohan. The sketch of this piece was displayed at Radio City Music Hall in New York City October 8-9, 2010 as part of a group tribute to The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
